*Folic acid, vitamin B12, vitamin D, iron, magnesium, and calcium play a role in cell division. Vitamin A plays a role in cell specialization. Folic acid contributes to the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy. An additional intake of folic acid increases the mother's folate status. A low maternal folate status is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the developing fetus. Women of childbearing age achieve this beneficial effect with an additional daily intake of 400 μg of folic acid for at least one month before and up to three months after conception. Zinc, magnesium, and calcium contribute to the maintenance of normal bones. Iodine and selenium contribute to normal thyroid function. Iron contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin. The intake of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) by the mother contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes of the fetus and breastfed infants. The positive effect is obtained with a daily intake of 200 mg DHA in addition to the recommended daily dose of omega-3 fatty acids for adults, i.e., 250 mg DHA and EPA.

Safran av Dr. Michalzik er underlagt strenge undersøkelser av tyske tilsynsmyndigheter. Den er produsert ved bruk av skånsomme produksjonsteknologier uten varme eller tilsetningsstoffer i kapselfyllingen og uten bruk av prosesseringsmidler som ikke er nødvendig å nevne på emballasjen

Ingen industrielt produsert kiselsyre (silisiumdioksid) flytehjelp. Biotikon bruker ikke silisiumdioksid eller kiselsyre (SiO2, kjent som E551) som flytehjelp. Grunnlaget for produkttesting "Stiftung Warentest" sier at de kan inneholde nanopartikler. Kiselsyre eller silisiumdioksid i kosttilskudd har blitt frarådet. Bio Suisse har avsluttet godkjenningen av silika eller silisiumdioksid. Silika fra kjerringrokk er ikke å forveksle med denne industrielt produserte silikaen.
