FREEZONE - Space and contact point for young people - supported by Biotikon
We have recently started supporting the FREEZONE project for young people in Mannheim. FREEZONE is a social contact point for children and young people who live on the street. When young people from problematic, family circumstances, too little recognition to abuse and then with everyday things, such as school can no longer cope, you need support and a place to which they can go. Their future should not seem pointless and threatening. FREEZONE is such a place to rest, but also a meeting place. To take advantage of a counseling and assistance offer is open to everyone here to give perspective and companionship.
FREEZONE wird von drei freien Trägern, dem Johann-Peter-Hebel-Heim/Diakonie, dem Kinderheim St. Joseph/Caritas, AWO und dem Stadtjugendamtes Mannheim finanziert. Eine Teilfinanzierung für Personalkosten ist durch das Stadtjugendamt gesichert. Die restlichen Kosten müssen durch Spenden abgedeckt werden. Biotikon ist es zum Herzensanliegen geworden, hier in der Region präsent zu sein und nötige Unterstützung zu geben.
