Biotikon supports children around the world
As in previous years, we supported the following heartfelt projects again this year.
The Freezone Kids in Mannheim, the school project of the Nimdy Gye-Nyame Kids Foundation in Ghana and the Traudl Smitka Foundation.
New additions this year are two more projects:
The St. Mary School project in Mamallapuram in the state of Tamil Nadu/South India
The school currently serves about 400 children. These are all from the poorest villages in the area. Most of the parents can neither read nor write and often have to be convinced through lengthy discussions to allow their children to attend school after all, as they do not understand how important this is for a better future for their children. The children are picked up by the school with buses, or where this is not possible, with TUK TUK`S. The school attendance is free of charge for them and is financed exclusively by donations.
Due to the current Corona situation, the school is almost facing the challenges. The school tries to maintain the operation by homeschooling, but even then this is only possible to a third, because the parents can not provide the children with smartphones. With the donations, they are currently trying to provide the children with laptops and the like and to maintain the school operation and homeschooling.

Furthermore, we also supported the St. Marien Children's and Youth Assistance Center in Worms.
The help center is subject to the Caritas association and supports children, young people and families in difficult phases of life. Depending on their situation, they can live at the St. Marien Stift and receive professional care there. You are welcome to inform yourself under the following link.

We would like to let you know that we have a personal connection or even personal contacts to all the projects listed, because it is important to us to know how donations flow and how wisely they are used.
