Dietary supplement with creatine Dr. Alexander Michalzik®️’s SPORT Creatine
Creatine or creatinin is a substance which is a potential energy reservoir that is immediately available to the body when needed. The universal energy carrier ATP can provide the muscle with energy when a phosphate residue is split off and ADP + P is formed. The problem is that one cannot store ATP; it has to be constantly generated. This occurs via 2 pathways, anaerobic and aerobic phosphorylation. Anaerobic energy generation produces lactate and can quickly lead to hyperacidity. Aerobic energy production takes place in the mitochondria. Here more ATP is created but no lactate.
With high-intensity training, however, it is possible that not enough ATP can be generated. Creatine can be very useful here. Creatine in turn binds a phosphate group which it can transfer to ADP ad hoc, so that ATP will be quickly produced again. Creatine phosphate is thus an indirect ATP store.
Creatine thus increases physical performance, especially during consecutive short-term, high-intensity workouts. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3 g of creatine.
Daily intake of creatine can increase the effect of weight training on muscle strength for adults over 55 years of age. This beneficial effect can be achieved for adults over 55 years of age who regularly participate in strength training consuming at least 3 g of creatine daily. An increase in training load over a time period is possible and should be performed at least three times a week for several weeks repeatedly with an intensity of at least 65 % - 75 % of maximum load*.* Maximum repetition load is the maximum weight or force that a person can exert in a single stroke.
